CWNA acknowledges the land we are on as the ancestral home and territory of many Indigenous nations from across Turtle Island: The Haudenosaunee, the Wendat, the Petun, the Seneca and, most recently, the Mississaugas of the First Nations.
Around us are their footprints from long ago: Sandhill, a sacred burial site of the First Nations people, and Davenport, an early Indigenous trail, that bear witness to their claim to these lands.
As settlers we now cherish this area of Tkaronto as our neighbourhood and are grateful to have the opportunity to work in the community, on this territory.
Peace
